"Good results are therefore, a reflection of school's success in imparting the virtues of discipline and industry. Consequently, I am happy to state that in the Cambridge Examination we fared very, very well indeed. Of the 111 candidates who sat the examination 29 secured a first grade, 45 a second grade and 26 a third grade pass. This constitutes a pass percentage of 82, a record for the school. Moreover, 19 pupils were awarded G.C.E. Certificates. In fact with only one out right failure, we can justly claim a pass percentage of 99.There were 38 distinctions in Mathematics, and 13 in English Literature. The result in Physics with Chemistry was again 100%. Charanjit Singh obtained 7 distinctions i.e. a distinction in every subject he offered and stood 6th among all Kenya candidates." Mr. A.N. Sharma (Narad), Annual School Prize Giving Day
"Academically, we were the best this year. Last year's pass percentage of 82 in the Cambridge School Certificate Examinations was not all that bad. If we may not be accused of immodesty we would like to record that it smashed all past records. Once again the Eastleigh Secondary School stood up to its reputation in the academic field. This was, no doubt, a creditable performance, but then this is characteristic of the Eastleigh Secondary. We must never rest on our laurels, but seek to conquer new heights. So let us pray God solemnly to help us in achieving this objective." Editorial
"The eagerly awaited Cambridge School Certificate results arrived, as usual, in February. The pass percentage of 82 ……………….is, up to now, the best result we have achieved." From School Notes |
