| Exam Year 1961 - ESS Magazine 1962 |
"Coming to last year's Cambridge School Certificate results, I am glad to report we have been able to re-establish our reputation as an institution which produces good results. In 1960, which was a poor year for us, our pass percentage, excluding G.C.E was only 43. In 1961, it went up by 22%, giving us a pass percentage of 65.1." Mr.P.L Uppal, Annual School Prize Giving Day
"The caution with which we worked last year after swallowing the bitter pill of the year before last's not very encouraging School Certificate results, bore fruits and though we could not go near the 79.1 percent mark of 1959, we did not do bad at 65.1 percent this year. A special mention must be made of Sultan Ali of Form IV Science who established an all-out school record by obtaining distinctions in all seven subjects he appeared in the School Certificate examination." Editorial
"The eagerly awaited School Certificate results arrived in the second week of February and …………. Though compared rather unfavourably with the 79.1 percent of 1959, they were, however, quite encouraging for at 65.1 percent, they were a great improvement on the 1960 results."
