"The caution with which we worked last year after swallowing the bitter pill of the year before last's not very encouraging School Certificate results, bore fruits and though we could not go near the 79.1 percent mark of 1959, we did not do bad at 65.1 percent this year. A special mention must be made of Sultan Ali of Form IV Science who established an all-out school record by obtaining distinctions in all seven subjects he appeared in the School Certificate examination."
