I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and was educated at Nairobi South Primary School and Eastleigh Secondary School (1960-1964). I came to the UK in July 1965.

I studied HND in business studies at Kilburn Polytechnic London and have been in IT since 1967. I worked for British Olivetti Ltd and Sema Group where I was a Computer Data Centre Manager, and retired in January 2000. I am married to Kamla and live in Harpenden Herts. I have a son, Suneel and a daughter, Anjali.
