I was born and raised in Nairobi. I went to Khalsa Primary School and then to Duchess of Gloucester School. I was keen on sports, played Hockey for the school and excelled at Long Jump and Cross Country running.
I came to England in 1967 and qualified as a Nurse at the Hillingdon Hospital Training Centre.
After getting married in 1973, I worked at various Hospitals in London for a few years, then in a small village called Braintree in Essex for 10 years. We moved to Berkshire in 1988 and worked at the Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot. I was invited to set up new wards in Wrexham Park and finally retired as a Ward Sister from the Ascot and Wrexham Park Hospitals Trust.
We have lived in Wokingham, Berkshire since 1988. We are quite heavily involved in local Community work. My hobbies are knitting, travelling and general socialising. We have travelled extensively in the past few years and looking forward to exploring the World a bit more. With God’s grace, we are blessed with three children and two grandchildren at the moment. We have a most exciting and wonderful time with them, we love them to bits.
I am constantly in touch with some of my old class fellows and colleagues. Social functions in the family take up most of our weekends and give us so much fun and great experiences. I am looking forward to meeting a few more friends at the next reunion.
