I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and did my primary education at Aga Khan Primary before joining Eastleigh Secondary School in 1976.

At ESS, my favourite subjects were Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and English. I ended up with 7 'O' level results. My best friends at school were Hiten Ondhia, Hitesh Shah, Bimal Shah and Minesh Shah. Together, we had plenty of fun and good memories. I cannot forget Shahid with whom I have lost contact. The teachers who inspired me the most were Mr Dave (Mathematics) and Mr DeSouza (Physics and Chemistry). In hindsight the four years at this school were probably some of the most memorable days of my life!

I completed my A levels at Highway Secondary School and started studying for my CPA exams. I moved to the UK in 1983 after my father passed away and proceeded to complete my qualifications in Accountancy at LSA and EW Fact.

I am now a practising accountant with my own small practice in Luton.

I am happily divorced. I have two boys. They are 29 and 27 yrs old respectively.
