I was born in India and we came to Nairobi when I was aged 12. I was educated at the technical college, Racecourse Secondary School and then at ESS. I played cricket for the first team under Mr P A Patel. I was in Niger House. I worked for two years in East African Airways and then joined the Bank of Baroda (Nairobi).

I played cricket for the bank and we won many championships. I am married to Bhanu, my childhood sweetheart. I came to UK in 1966 and worked for the Post Office for 34 years in Leicester. I am now retired.
