I was born in Nairobi and lived on Haji Road, Pangani. I went to Juja Road Primary and joined ESS in 1964. I left in 1967. I enjoyed my time there and joined in all the activities particularly for Zambezi House.

I came to London in December 1967. I started work with a firm of Certified Accountants and started studying ACCA through a correspondence course. After 5 years I set up my own Accountancy practice, Khalid Chaudhry & Co. This was the start of my business life leading to a number of businesses. At present , The Chaudhry Group of Companies , encompass fabricating Aluminium & UPVC Windows & Doors, Glass Toughening, Nursing Home, Property Investment & Development. All the Companies are run by family members.

In September 2001 I moved to Lahore with my family where my two sons went to school and I played Golf and did Charity work . This led to the setting up AMC Trust, an Education Charity, named after my late father Ali Mohammed. This Charity is my main passion now and is totally funded by donations from The Chaudhry Group of Companies.

I am married with two sons. My main home is back in London with a second one in Lahore.
