I was at the ESS from 1956 to 1959 and then joined the Inland Revenue, Nairobi. I moved to England and studied Electrical Engineering at Leicester Polytechnic. I worked in the Electrical Design Office for ten years and then moved to Electrical Maintenance Engineer until my retirement. We have two children – a son who studied I.T. and a daughter who graduated (B.A.) in Management & Communications and works for H.M.Customs & Excise in Leicester.
