I lived in Eastleigh, 2nd Avenue and joined ESS in 1961. I was in the Congo House and was actively involved in the ESS Scout Group and their Troop Leader in 1963-64. I also became a Queens Scout and obtained the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award.

After completing my School Certificate in 1964, I joined Highway Secondary School to complete the Higher School Certificate, where I re- met ex- ESS boys, Nisar Butt (Head prefect at HSS) and a year later Harish Luther. In 1967 I came to the UK and studied Chemistry at Manchester University. Following this I joined Federal Mogul Technology as an Executive Scientist and later in 2000 was a medical materials specialist for Consort Medical plc. I have now retired, play golf and recently taken up Bridge.

I am married to Darshan and am fortunate to have two delightful daughters, pursuing successful careers in Law.
