We arranged a Dinner meeting with Nairobi’s Old Eastleigh Boys on 5th July 2007 at Panafric Hotel with the assistance of Teja Singh Kalsi. Teja worked extremely hard to locate and speak with a very large number of our members still in Nairobi. Of those, 23 members attended the Dinner meeting. We had wide ranging discussions on the formation of our organisation in the UK and in Nairobi. They all agreed to work with us to improve the quality of buildings and furniture at EHS. At that meeting we also had Mr. Pindolia and other representatives of the Kanbis Cricket Club who use the EHS grounds at weekends – and they too, pledged to work in partnership with us to support the school. For the school, Kanbis Cricket Club have already built the perimeter wall, provided a borehole for water supply and built the kitchen and the dining hall.

Nisar Butt and I spoke briefly about our activities and what we planned to do. They all seemed very happy to help and unanimously agreed to form a local Nairobi ex-ESS Group to work closely with us, to support our school and also help in the successful organisation of future programmes and reunions. We await their news!
